    I know I need to eat better but somehow time always seems to run away from me. I tried The Clean Viking's 7 Days of Clean Eating plan to see whether I liked it and I loved it. Having things organised for you this way makes it so much easier to eat properly. The food was also really great and simple to make, which is crucial after working all day. It's a great way to test the waters if you are thinking whether clean eating is something for you. Having someone else do the heavy lifting of organising the meals, shopping list and prep is brilliant.

    The first thing I thought when I saw the meal plan was “this looks delicious!” - and it is. I wasn’t sure before then. “Clean eating” - that doesn’t sound very exciting.     With a full time job and a two year old, eating healthy is a challenge. I keep starting and then going off the track again. Not only are the recipes in this 7 day plan so tasty, but they are simple and quick to make - which is a must when you are putting together dinner after a long hard day at work, with a toddler running around! The prep guide is great as well. I didn’t do everything in it this time, but next time, I think I will, as it will make keeping on track through the busy week even easier. Is this program for vegetarians or vegans?

Nope. This program does include meat and fish.

I have a medical condition. Can I still follow the program?

I am not a doctor and you should always consult your physician before making any drastic changes to your diet. Having said that, clean eating is in no way extreme. It’s just good, clean, wholesome food and you are not depriving yourself of anything that the body needs. On the contrary, you’ll probably be getting a lot more of the good stuff that the body needs.

Can I follow the program if I am pregnant or nursing?

It’s just good, clean, wholesome food and you are not depriving yourself of anything that the body needs. On the contrary, you’ll probably be getting a lot more of the good stuff that the body needs.

Who would benefit from eating clean?

Anyone who wants to improve their health, have more energy, lose weight or just simply feel better.

Do you include calorie counts in the recipes?

No I don’t. This is not about counting calories or weighing your food but about eating clean and healthy. The program is designed so that if you follow it you will be eating regularly throughout the day and eating the right combination of proteins, fats and carbohydrates for optimum wellbeing.

Is this a weightloss program?

Yes and no. The main emphasis is on showing you how good you feel when you eat clean, and how easy it can be. Eating clean can have multiple health benefits and has been shown to get blood sugar levels under control (which aids weightloss, amongst other thing), get rid of various aches and pains, improve digestion, increase energy and improve health overall. Most people will lose weight when starting to eat clean, but over a longer period of time. I cannot guarantee that you will lose weight by eating clean for only one week. However, it’s a great start!
